Thank you to Nilton Silva,  Art teacher, and to all students in this school for their wonderful submission.

The students message of peace:

” We all wish for Peace because it means love, friendship and happiness.”

Cape Verde Flag Meaning:
The stars represent the nation’s islands and the blue represents infinite space of the sea and sky. The circle of stars symbolises the nation’s unity. The stripes symbolise the road to the construction of Cape Verde; while the colour white represents peace and the colour red represents effort.

Madagascar Flag Meaning:

One theory on the Madagascar flag’s meaning states that the colours of the Madagascar flag represent Madagascar’s history, yearning for independence, and traditional classes. Red and white were the colours of the Merina kingdom, which fell to France in 1896. The colours were used in the flag of Queen Ranavalona III, the last Merina monarch. They also represent the ethnic origins of the Malagasy people in Southeast Asia, and are shared by the flag of Indonesia. Green was the colour of the Hova, a class of commoners who played a significant role in the independence movement. The modern day interpretation of the Madagascar flag colours believes that red standing for sovereignty, white represents purity and green means hope.
