St.Lucia’s Assembly

“We in St. Lucia, at The International School of St. Lucia, had an assembly yesterday and both presented our completed peace quilt which has come out of being part of the Olympic  Peace Quilt project and had a Skype conference call with Jeremy Gilley and the whole school about “Peace One Day”.In the photos attached are: the students asking Jeremy questions,, Jermey up on the screen, and the mother, Mrs. Unruh,  who sewed  the quilt together and my self in-front of our ISSL peace quilt.

The principal Mrs. Harkness had a newspaper interview about the
project  Respectfully Keith Bloodworth.”

Congratulations on this wonderful contribution to creativity, beauty and cooperation in the world, which so visibly demonstrates that global peace initiatives are possible and celebrates the unity in diversity and how important each unique contribution is to the whole.

I regret that I was not at ISSL for my second semester, and therefore could not attend this assembly, but I would like to shout out to all of my fellow students who participated in the peace quilt. Congratulations to all of you, and to everyone else at the school, for putting this together. This quilt, and this assembly, was a display of unity between people not only from St. Lucia but from all over the world. Congratulations and good luck to you all! Let there be peace!
