FINLAND, Kilo School

1 Feb

Thank you to Andrei for this drawing to represent young people of Kilo School, Espoo and Finland. Andrei gives a straightforward  message for PEACE  which in Finnish means   “RAUHA “

The Finnish flag is very symbolic of Peace.

According to ancient and heraldic traditions much symbolism is associated with colours. The off-centered blue cross is based on the Scandinavian Cross, a cross widely used on Scandinavian country flags.

The colours on the Finland flag represent the following:

White – represents snow and also Peace and Honesty

Blue – represents lakes and sky and also vigilance, truth and loyaly, perserverance and justice.

Special thanks also to Meta for coordinating the project for Finland.
