UKRAINE, Pechersk School International, Kiev

16 Mar

This is the winning drawing from the completed art project in the Pechersk School International, Ukraine. Thank you to all the students involved and to Paul Horgan for helping to complete the project in this school. The school is also planning to design their own quilt with all the entries, just like the International School of St. Lucia.

The students message for peace: “We all wish for peace because war is cruelty and only peace could beat it.”

“Many thanks again for the invitation to participate. It was a great experience for our school community.” Paul Horkan, MYP Coordinator

The blue half represents peace, the sky above Ukraine and the country’s streams and the yellow represents prosperity and the colour of the country’s wheat fields.
