ETHIOPIA, Bingham Academy

3 Mar

This is the chosen drawing to represent Bingham Academy,Ethiopia.Very appropriately the students say

“We all wish for Peace because then we will no longer go hungry”.

Thank you to Joe Archibald for submitting this drawing on the students behalf.

Please look closely at this drawing as there is the picture of a lion’s head over the mountains and the letters of Ethiopia are over each of the peaks.

This drawing is even more incredible as this is exactly how a part of Ethiopia looks from a plane as you fly over the Country. Really amazing!!

Ethiopian Flag Meaning:

The colored stripes on the Ethiopian flag are significant – the red stripe stands for power, faith and blood; the yellow symbolizes the church, peace, natural wealth and love; and the green represents the land and hope. The colors were also interpreted to have a connection to the Holy Trinity, and the three main provinces of Ethiopia. The star represents unity of the people and the races that make up Ethiopia. The five rays on the outside of the star represent prosperity and the blue disk represents peace.
