The Finnish flag is very symbolic of Peace.
According to ancient and heraldic traditions much symbolism is associated with colours.The off-centered blue cross is based on the Scandinavian Cross, a cross widely used on Scandinavian country flags.
The colours on the Finland flag represent the following:
White – represents snow and also Peace and Honesty
Blue – represents lakes and sky and also vigilance, truth and loyaly, perserverance and justice.
